Busey Bank - Edwardsville (IL)

1 /5 David S: TheBank of Edwardsville was fantastic in all regards. Busey has been nothing but terrible, the worst of which is their customer service. Previously if I needed help I could call the bank and someone would be available to assist me. Now the wait times are +20 min every time I call, its very disheartening. Busey makes you feel like a number, there is no sense of personal service. They are only interested in the absolute bare minimum service they can provide and I feel no loyalty to them whatsoever. Recently I had to call them 3 times to get my address changed and even after that they still mailed my debit card to an address I havent lived at at 5 years. TWICE! This is not a friendly local bank. If you are going to use a soulless megabank there are better ones than Busey

2 /5 Dave Rudloff: The new online banking program leaves much to be desired! If you have more than one account at Busey bank, getting the bill pay to properly withdraw from the correct account can be quite challenging and leave you with bounced checks if you arent careful. They even walked me through setting up the default to insure that it paid from the correct account and this proved to be unsuccessful. It defaulted right back to the wrong account. If I hadnt caught it, the check would have bounced a second time! Again, the program has a serious glitch which has left me quite unhappy!

1 /5 Kurt Wickenhauser: Reached out to customer service several times regarding an issue with a bank account. Told each time they would “call me back” it’s been three weeks now and I still can’t transfer money. Had to use a third party app. Very disappointing. Edit : Perfect example of their attention to detail below. My name isn’t Kevin. It’s literally spelled out above you. Do not do business with this bank.

5 /5 George Turner: Although I miss my childhood Bank of Edwardsville, I have had several good contacts with Ryan in customer service. I think they went thru some turbulence during the takeover, but I think they got it squared away. Put it this way ... WAY better than Bank of America. It still has a "small bank" feel and it is easy to talk to a real person.

1 /5 Melissa Cole: They claim each transaction is covered by the FDIC amd how safe It is to use Zelle through their bank, but if you send money be prepared to kiss it goodbye if recipient is a fraud. Theyll tell you its your fault that you didnt know any better. Your better off with PayPal. At least with PayPal you can dispute it and get your money back. Using Zelle through Busey is only safe they said if you are the one receiving money. Which makes absolutely no sense. Yea Im switching banks.
