1 /5 Jared Paddick: First time we have ever had to use home owners insurance. Basement flooded during all this rain; I called Bill to figure out exactly my policy, because I was told 2 different answers by the claim department. He didn’t want to talk to me. He wanted to tell me because I had been in contact with claims, then why was I calling him. He can respond and say otherwise, but this is exactly what happened. I read the other negative reviews, and I see nothing is ever his fault, especially customer service. After this is over with, I’ll no longer have State Farm. It has been a nightmare to say the least. Before this getting a value for my classic car was like pulling teeth. I have had State Farm for every vehicle, house, and boat I ever owned. I’m 31 and paid for my insurance since 16. Sad when you try to use your safety net you’re treated so awful.
Edit: changing from 2 star to 1. Called him 2 times during the entire claim process, today being the second. He said because of my negative review (he was wrong about what the review even said) that he contacted his attorney. I asked for his attorney information so that mine could get in contact with him, and he wouldn’t give it to me. Said that I would be getting the info from said attorney. Again, like before, he wouldn’t answer any questions I had about my policy and what I needed from the place that I’ve paid thousands of dollars to over the years. Getting zero help from this company and especially this rep. Would avoid at all costs. Had to make a claim with illinois department of insurance. Would read the claim with them before sending this agent your business.
P.S. he handled everything like a child.
Edit number 2: still waiting on this guys lawyer to contact me. I guess he tries scare tactics. Guess he wasted money on his lawyer for telling him what a waste of time it would be to try to get a Google review taken down.
