5 /5 Spencer Hood: As everyone who has attempted to do business with anyone it is extremely difficult to reach the person who you have began a relationship and or the receptionist is not concerned about assisting you. I had to post my experience today with Priscilla at The Bank of Claxton. She was pleasant and had a helping attitude. I wanted to make sure I shared so anyone close to The Bank of Claxton consider doing business with them because if the rest of the company treats the customers as Priscilla did for me today then you’ve found a bone for banking.

1 /5 Jenna Colegrove: The worst bank in the history of banks. Card issuer declined problems CONSTANTLY. Wont fix them. Tells me IM ENTERING THE WRONG CARD NUMBER. However, the amount of money comes out of the account and put back. How can it possibly be the wrong card number?! Hold on my account they wont lift because theyre too proud. Just telling me its the wrong card number

2 /5 Grace Wilkie: The Claxton Bank was my first bank and only bank for a very long time. I love some of the ladies at the main branch and always enjoyed seeing them when I went to go make my deposits and they were always helpful when I had to travel. HOWEVER, HERE COMES THE PROBLEMS :) - Extremely slow processing times on ANY transactions! - Have SHUT OFF MY CARD WITHOUT WARNING SEVERAL TIMES without calling me, texting me, even TRYING to communicate!! This lead to a lot of embarrassing moments because they shut off my card due to a transaction I completely online! Absolutely ridiculous! The final straw for me have been how they have handled closing my account! Im living three states away now and 13 hours away from Georgia and they have tried to tell me I cant close my account unless Im PHYSICALLY in Georgia!! They also told this to one of my sisters who IS LEGITIMATELY ON THE WEST COAST. There is NO WAY to close your account online, so you have to talk to someone there. They told me to get my account to a $0 balance and they would close it. I asked them how to go about getting my card to a $0 balance. The answer? Oh, withdraw all your money from an ATM or you can Venmo or PayPal yourself. What the hell. Regardless, I ended up finding a way to get my account to $0. Ive transferred my money away from that card...and THEY STILL HAVENT CLOSED MY ACCOUNT AFTER I TOLD THEM, and are STILL CHARGING ME SERVICE FEES. So now I have an account with a negative balance because they dont know how to listen. Im now living several states away and having to fight with them about something that should have been handled a week ago!!

5 /5 Kelly Oliver: The entire staff is always eagerly willing to help. I strongly value having the huge advantage of calling and immediately having a real person answer the phone, and to be recognized by the majority of employees. In todays world...hometown service speaks volume.
