3 /5 deb crary: Spent an hour on the website trying to find my full account number, no I dont have checks, and routing number for wire transfers. Couldnt find either.. BofA was much better.

1 /5 Patrick Lystiuk: People are friendly....I cant take that away from them, but customer support is horrible. Phone, mobile, online, in person....They are trying to be be big time with technology with no staff to help when there is a problem. Ever since South State took over this branch from Bank of America.....I have had trouble. Let a local person pick up the phone. Waiting on hold to a national call center is killing us. They want us to do all the work.....online, but have limited support when their technology is faulty. Not impressed.

5 /5 Hailee Davis: I do not bank here but my grandparents do. When they go in this bank, they are always met with smiling faces. They know my grandparents by name. The people that work there are friendly and they are always laughing. I love the good vibes they bring and their branch manager is very sweet. If I did not live so far away I would bank here. But it is great knowing these people will go above and beyond for my elderly grandparents who are easily confused

2 /5 Teresa Holcombe: My Dad has done business with the facility in Hartwell for decades since way back when it was Bank of America. I mean decades. We have a joint account with funds enough. They refused to deposit or cash a $1600 tax refund check my son had signed over to me. Over the years, we have cashed/deposited checks for our children/grandchildren. Weve not ever been refused. Now you might have to wait a week to access funds which is fine by me. Now, all of a sudden, Im a peice of trash. I was told go to Walmart its against our policy. Try another bank, its against out policy-with smirky attitude. Well you can bet I sure will find another bank. I wont close this account now ONLY because Dads SS check comes there and I dont want to stress him w the trouble. But you can bet our business will go elsewhere. If my poor Dad didnt have terminal cancer he would be there raising hell. Im so disappointed. It sickens me I cant go close the account right now.

1 /5 Nate B: Ok, let me tell you how awful this bank is. My boss writes his payroll checks using this bank. I go in this morning and explain to the lady id like to get this check cashed. She looks at the check pulls up the business name on the check. Picks up the phone and i ask her, who are you calling? She said the account holder to verify he did write/authorize this check to you. I said well, why would you have to do that? my names on the check, he signed the check and i signed the back of the check and gave her my valid drivers license that shows i am who this check is written out to. So Because i dont have a checking account with this stupid bank, you have to call the account holder and ask did you write a check to this person (me) yes i did. Ok then they will cash it. This is their policy she says. I said you will do this every time i come in here? She answers yes. Bc you dont have an account with us. So what fn difference does it make if i have an account there? The check is written from the account your bank holds. Is there money in that acct to cover it? YES i know there is. I have never in my life heard of such a stupid rule. No other banks have ever required anything more than a valid id that matches the name on the check. I refuse to open an account with your stupid rules and policy. This is NOT how you attract potential new customers. when the financial institution uses these type of tactics. Sorry i dont bank with your institution and you wont cash a check from an account that belongs to your institution bc soooo many people im sure go in there with the intentions of forging a check with a valid id which marches the name. Un freqking real. id give you a F- And then im expected to sit around and wait for him to call the bank back. Not like hes got anything better to do, you know, like running a company not like i have anything better to do then getting to work, pay bills etc…this bank sucks youre basically insinuating everyone who doesnt bank there is a fraud. Do better
