1 /5 Deirdra Plummer: I stepped on a bottle and a piece of glass broke off in my foot. A couple months later as I was walking I stepped on it. I filed a claim and was denied because I didn’t make the claim in 90 days?????? If I have insurance for the entire year why do I have to make the claim in 90 days??? Did I know that there was glass in my foot?? This is a crock of bs I see why things happen to these people! I would’ve rather them said “we just don’t wanna pay it”! This company deserves a -10 full of shih!!!

1 /5 Dack Patrick: Principal Financial uses an outside call center in the Philippines to handle financial transactions for a 401k retirement. Twice now they have screwed up my 401k rollover. I started the process with them in mid September. Its is now October 18th and my current financial management company is still waiting on the funds for the rollover. I have called again and had to get a supervisor to handle for a third time. If you have money with Principal, move it somewhere else as fast as you can. The company deserves a negative 5 stars. Pathetic service!

5 /5 INTJ: The response from this company is incredibly concerning: We are denying your request because your state of residence does not currently have a privacy law in effect that provides these rights. This essentially translates to, We can get away with doing something wrong because its not actually illegal, which says a lot about their ethics and values. Its alarming to see how they choose to handle private information—not by respecting privacy, but by exploiting the lack of legal protections. It leaves you wondering what they’ll do with your data, and apparently, anything they want as long as it’s not "technically" illegal.

1 /5 Àurea De Lara: Probably the absolute worst insurance company - for dental, in my case but perhaps for everything. Their support staff does not know a single thing about determining a necessary procedure, even their peer to peer review was worthless. I know I needed a deep cleaning and had receding gums for YEARS - this is nothing new. Still, even with seeing the xrays and the bacteria from a sample they denied the claim. What is the point of insurance if they dont cover a NECESSARY procedure. This further cements my belief - following my research into the insurance industry - that dental and medical insurance is a SCAM and the only people that benefit are the shareholders of said insurance companies. As soon as I can cancel - since I cant cancel at will - I will be cancelling my insurance. This makes me sooo happy I never had medical insurance and now I have only an HSA. If i could give this company 0 stars I would. Stay away from insurance. Invest in yourself, in prevention and supporting your body with nutrient dense foods and by educating yourself.
