1 /5 Eddie James: We have been with Matt Pruitt Allstate for many years for both home and auto. We recently wanted to do a review of our auto policy so we called the office and spoke to one of the office staff (I think it was Ashley, but not sure of the name) about moving our daughter to her own policy. She said that she would send over the quote details the next morning. After not receiving anything for a few days we decided to transfer to a different Allstate agency so we found one closer to us on Dallas Highway. Elizabeth at that location said she would get our account transferred to their office and get a quote to me in 30 minutes or so. We never heard from her again so we decided to look at new insurance companies altogether. What we found is that we were paying Allstate 64% higher than the new coverage we found AND the coverage was less than what we found. So much less coverage at Allstate that we now have FULL coverage on 4 cars at a 64% discount, whereas 2 cars at Allstate were at liability only. To me, that is substantial. And the new company is a very large player in the industry, not a fly-by-night company. Sometimes when a company is not responsive to customers it creates a win. Maybe I should make this one 5 stars.
Oh, and just as an edit --- We have NEVER filed a claim.
Response to response: The call and request to this office was was made on Feb 18 at 3:32 p.m. - I can post the screenshot of my phone history if it helps. I do not remember her name..
And you are correct, the coverages are not the same at all. We now have FULL coverage on all vehicles. We did not have that at Allstate and we were paying a 64% higher rate. I know that is a tough pill to swallow but it is 100% true. And your company had a great opportunity to discuss on Feb 18 but you passed. It is understandable to me now why there was no follow-up for a review on the account - it may have saved us some money.
Edit 3/2/2025 - Matt, as a follow up to your edits, I just looked at my phone history and you are incorrect. My call on Feb 18th at 3:32 p.m. was 3 minutes and 3 seconds in duration. That is plenty of time to request the review that never arrived. It was a call to your office - I spoke to someone there - not the after hours contact that you implied. Ive just uploaded my phone history screengrab showing the length of call since your systems seem to be not functioning properly if that would be helpful. Also, I am not in the insurance business, but honestly I would try a different angle than implying that your client is lying. I called your office. I spoke to someone there. I requested a review. I was told it would be there the following morning. I have heard nothing since. End of story. Thank you.
