1 /5 K Arch: Let me start off by saying the staff in the office is nice, friendly, & helpful. Kind of people you want representing your business. But as for the man, Garrett Atz, not so much. I have been doing my taxes with this place for the past 4 years. The past 2 years I even had my son doing his taxes there. Always did me right & was always honest with us. So, why am I giving such a bad review. Dont know what happened to Mr. Garrett Atz but this year was dishonesty & I say robbery. Told me since my taxes are just a 1040ez my cost would not be more then previous years. Yeah well got my tax email papers & it said he wanted almost $700 to prepare & file. HA!!! Pretty much twice as much as Ive been paying even with the child credit in the past. Asked several times about it before I signed. Was told that my son owed, since he was a minor & still living with me with a shared checking account, that the money my son owed for taxes & preparation would come out of my return. That way we didnt have to come up with anything out of the pocket up front. Sounded good. I agreed. Went to office to tell them my son never received his emails to sign they informed me that the money he owed couldnt be held out of my taxes to pay his. That my almost $700 that came out of my taxes was for my prep & file. $700 for a 1040ez!!!! I would never have signed my papers if I had known that. Do not trust him!! Do not sign if you have any questions or doubt at all. Make sure you look over paperwork carefully. Dont know if maybe Garrett is having money problems of his own or what. But he will not get the chance to rip off me, my family, or my friends again. Could have used that few hundred dollars to help pay medical bills. Thanks Garrett. Hope Im able to know when this bites you ten fold on your butt.
