1 /5 Mark House: After 37 years of using Allstate for all my houses, cars, and boats, Larry Ganas and his office completely let my wife and I down in 2018. After I explained to the owner of Allstate in Valdosta, Larry Gaines, that I had a classic car stored down at a family members property for the last several years and I thought he might be thinking of selling it and I didn’t know whether I should put insurance on it or not. This family member and I had a major falling out and he would not let me retrieve my items that I had stored there. There were other cars and several antique boats, but only one car wasn’t insured with Larry. This other person would not allow me to retrieve my items, and I did not want to fight and drag them into lawsuit. I explained all of this to Larry. He sat right in his desk and told me that “the date that matters is when I go down there for the first time and see the car is gone.” And that’s exactly what I did. When the family member passed away after 8-1/2 years of paying premiums, I went down to this property with the blessing of another family member to retrieve my car. That’s when I realized the car was missing. But when I went to file the claim, I told him the car was sold back in 2010 several months before I actually put insurance on the car. But it was a year and a half later when I went down there and filed the police report. When I talked to Larry about denying my claim ($18,000.00) he would not admit saying that to me. Extremely disappointed. I immediately changed insurance companies. I would never EVER trust the Valdosta Ganas Office with ANY of my insurance needs again. I would be happy to talk to anyone about in person or otherwise. Just know this…..You are most certainly NOT IN BETTER HANDS WITH ALLSTATE!!!!! At least at the Larry Ganas Allstate office in Valdosta Georgia!!!!
