1 /5 Sean Irvin: Bought a house and chose Lamb to write my homeowners policy. We purchased the policy successfully and closed on the home. Roofer said have a plan to replace roof within five years. Insurance did not inspect prior to issuing the policy. Five weeks later I get cancelled as a hurricane is approaching. I attempted to shop for new policies, and nobody would cover me until I replaced the roof. So, now that I already put all the cash I had down on the house, I got stuck going through a storm with no coverage and paying $14,000 out of pocket for a roof. Two months later they have the nerve to contact me and try to sell me another policy stating that they are limited in what they can offer me because of my lapse in coverage. At that time I tell them that Im not interested in ever doing business with them again. They began to defend themselves rather than admit that they did me wrong. Then they tried to cancel my GL policy because I asked to shop around. If I had a lapse in coverage my rates would skyrocket and they know that. They were upset because I hurt their feeling when I told them what terrible service they provide. I’m going to make a formal complaint to the Secretary of State, and I’m warning you about this office. Unprofessional, deficient, and slimy.
Chris, trying to get me to cancel my GL coverage before securing another policy because I was unhappy with your service is the grimiest move I’ve ever seen in my professional career. You should be ashamed of yourself!
