2 /5 Jessica Wade: I am a local real estate agent and the seller insisted we close with this attorney, to which my buyer agreed. This was my first experience and I was very disappointed to find 2 large errors in the closing documents after closing (the home warranty was not purchased by the seller at closing even though the amendment and invoice had been submitted and the HOA initiation and transfer fees were mishandled). When I called the attorney to request help he stated he was not to be involved, that the closing had already occurred and everything needed to be handled directly with the seller. He also stated it was not his responsibility to read all aspects of the contract and if he was required to do so his fees would have to go up. I would never recommend this attorney to my clients and I’m very disappointed in the handling of the issues. I understand mistakes are made, but to have an attorney say he never reviewed the full contents of the contract is unacceptable and for him to not offer to help make things right was not professional.
