5 /5 Kate H.: I highly recommend Elinor Portivent if you are looking for a family law attorney. Mrs. Portivent is absolutely incredible to work with both inside and outside the court room. She will be honest with you about your case, and she will fiercely advocate for you as her client. She is kind, confident, articulate, concise and she does an amazing job arguing in the court room. Her arguments are clever, strategic, and she is quick to get to the point. After watching her in court, and working with her I think it’s safe to say Elinor Portivent is absolutely crushing her opponents. Her paralegal Nancy is just as tough, kind, and efficient. These two strong and intelligent women work diligently to make what difference they can; both with a sense of dignity and integrity. They are truly a great team to work with!

1 /5 Kolbey Smith: Do not recommend if you’re young and inexperienced with law. Beforehand she told me she was in the same situation with the same lawyer of the other party, but with roles reversed and she was representing the man. She straight up told me she didn’t wan’t things contradicting the other case. She acted as if she’d still represent me with mine and my child’s best interest. I expressed many times I didn’t know how all of this worked. She was bad about answering the phone and calling back and did not explain things well at all. She was very misleading. Then she acted as if she was trying to persuade me into things to make her job easier by using “a judge would grant this” when I’ve had several tell me he wouldn’t. I’m a single, 22 year old mom who was left feeling used so she didn’t contradict herself. After expressing my concerns and disappointment through an email and saying I wanted to come in and talk, she withdrew from my case. Mention she replied the next day when I’ve emailed and called before and didn’t get a reply until 1-2 weeks later.

5 /5 AC B: In truth, Elinor can be a bit hard to get a hold of at times, but in fairness, I think that speaks to the demand for her talent. She has a reputation in the area for her skill, and its well-deserved. I went through a tumultuous divorce and subsequent related challenges, and Elinir has shown herself time and again to be reasonable, fair-minded, genuinely concerned for the well-being of my children, frank (yet always tactful), honest, and extremely sharp. She does a great job of setting realistic expectations while providing confidence in the hope of a good outcome. I have every faith that she always has whats best for my children and me at heart. Speaking specifically as a father, I know how scary it can be to feel like youre up against a system thats slanted against you at every turn. It was really great to feel like I had a true advocate through the process. Thats why I highly recommend Elinor (and Nancy) to anyone needing representation for the sake of their children. She will work hard and fight for you.

1 /5 Alex Turner: Don’t recommend this lawyer for anything having to do with family law or anything else concerning law practice. Doesn’t communicate well. Emails, calls, ext…. Through out the whole process seamed like she was fighting for the other side. Doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Worse lawyer I’ve ever seen. By any means never hire this lawyer for anything. I wouldn’t hire her to write a will or even a notary.

5 /5 Koran Dyer: She is a great lawyer. Help and understands both sides. She is for the person that she represents. And will help you come up with the best decision for you or both parties. One of the best women lawyers I have ever met. She helps with divorce case. And I think other matters as well. You should give her a call for great advice.
