1 /5 Charlie Whalen: I’m writing this review to share my experience as a former client of this firm. I entered the process during a profoundly difficult chapter in my life, hoping for guidance, advocacy, and support. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling confused, isolated, and, at times, unrepresented.
Throughout my case, I raised several concerns that I believed were critical to my family’s situation. Despite bringing them up multiple times to different attorneys within the firm, I never saw these concerns reflected in the strategy or documents. That absence left me feeling unheard.
Communication was also inconsistent. On more than one occasion, I felt unprepared for important developments, including a court hearing that unexpectedly turned adversarial. Learning later that my attorney had planned to withdraw—without prior discussion—only compounded the distress.
What I had hoped would be a professional and compassionate partnership instead felt transactional and disconnected. I understand every case is different, but the lack of proactive communication and emotional consideration in my case was disappointing.
I would also encourage prospective clients to carefully review their engagement contract. If a non-disparagement clause is included, it’s worth asking what that means for transparency. Shouldn’t clients be able to openly share their experiences, good or bad?
I’m sharing this not out of malice, but to offer an honest account of how I felt during and after my time with this firm. I sincerely hope others find the support they need during difficult times—and that this feedback contributes to reflection and improvement.
