1 /5 Joe B: Hiring this law firm was one of the biggest and most painful mistakes of my life. I trusted them to help me through a difficult divorce and custody battle, but instead, they manipulated me, dragged the case out, and left me in financial ruin.
From day one, I asked to go straight to mediation. I wanted to minimize the damage to my kids and myself. But they convinced me to go down a longer, more expensive path — claiming I could get majority custody. They gave me false hope, knowing full well that Florida law favors 50/50 custody. Any competent, honest attorney would have told me that up front.
They pushed me to use their preferred social investigator, promising my kids would finally have a voice. But the investigator never even spoke to them — and worse, he submitted a biased, inaccurate report that clearly favored my ex. Then came the psychological evaluator — who wasn’t just chosen by her attorney, but was also affiliated with the same company my ex worked for. I raised this massive red flag to my attorneys, and they did absolutely nothing about it. Nothing.
I was forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars for these “evaluations” that did nothing but tip the scales in her favor — and in the end, she still got 50% custody. The same result I could have gotten through mediation from the beginning, without all the extra pain, wasted time, and financial devastation.
Her attorney? She was aggressive, sharp, and knew exactly how to protect her client. Mine? Passive, careless, and more interested in padding their bill than actually fighting for me or my kids. They used scare tactics, pushed me into decisions that only benefited them, and left me with nothing — while she walked away financially secure, and I’m nearing retirement in a financial hole.
This firm failed me completely. They were unprofessional, unethical, and in my opinion, dangerously irresponsible. Their licenses should be reviewed, if not revoked. If you’re reading this and considering hiring them — don’t. Find someone who actually gives a damn about you and your children. These people clearly didn’t.
