5 /5 RL BE: I came to John Wagner during an incredibly stressful chapter- dealing with probate after a family member passed, and facing an unlawful detainer situation tied to inheritance. It was an overwhelming life moment where legal issues, grief, and family dynamics were all intertwined.
John was a steady, clear voice throughout. From the beginning, it was obvious he really knows this area of law- foreclosure, eviction, property disputes- he’s not just competent, he’s sharp and strategic. But what sets him apart is how human he is in how he practices. He answered every question I had with patience (and there were many), and he always took the time to explain not just the legal steps, but the why behind them.
What I appreciate most is his honesty. He told me the truth- even when it meant saying something probably wasn’t worth pursuing. Another attorney could’ve just billed me and dragged things out, but he didn’t.
There were times I didn’t follow his advice right away- not because I doubted him, but because the emotional weight of the situation made it hard to move forward. John never pushed. He gave me space, stayed responsive, and showed up big when I was ready.
While I believe a lot of his work is commercial, I’m truly grateful I found him and had the chance to work with him on my personal matter. If you’re going through something difficult- especially involving family property or eviction- John is who you want. He’s not just legally solid (and he is), he’s someone who will handle your situation with care, clarity, and integrity. I trust him completely and wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again.
