2 /5 Ricardo Mosquera: I had a very disappointing experience at Gray & Sons. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely unwelcome. No one greeted me or acknowledged my presence for over 10 minutes, despite the store not being particularly busy. It was uncomfortable just standing there waiting, unsure if anyone was even going to help.
Before coming in, I called ahead to confirm that they offered jewelry appraisal services. I was told over the phone that they did, and that it would cost $250 per piece. I drove more than 40 minutes based on that information, only to be told something completely different in person. The woman who appeared to be the manager was not only unhelpful but quite rude. She told me the service was actually $300 per piece and then dismissed the idea of appraising my jewelry altogether because I wasn’t planning to sell it to them.
What made the experience even worse was how she treated one of her own employees — someone who was actually trying to assist me. Watching her speak so disrespectfully to her staff was incredibly off-putting and reinforced the overall unprofessional atmosphere.
Needless to say, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend Gray & Sons to anyone looking for respectful, honest service.
