Specifically, Melinda went above and beyond the call of duty with the patience of a saint. First, believe me when I say that I did my homework and their prices are the most reasonable to be found. Some places quoted nearly double. Next, they are thorough, attentive and honest. I have completed two transactions with them and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat (even if you live out of town) because you can trust them. They are kind and informative through every step of the process. If I ever close on another property, its a no-brainer; I know that they have my back and they are professional. My situation was fairly complicated and they handled it with ease and lifted the burden. Maddy Bird Kat was super helpful and easy to speak to, and made picking a plan far less overwhelming. I had spent the day shopping around for the best rate and felt like people were throwing numbers at me but explaining nothing. Kat was very straightforward in explaining the different policy - things- such that I cant say I understand insurance any more than I did before but I at least felt confident I was making the right choice going with StateFarm and the personal policy she worked out for me. Joe So far, my experience has been great. I loved their website and the ease of building a quote. I created multiple quotes, in fact. I really liked that I was able to do that and adjust coverage levels in every area to find the middle ground where I was satisfied with the coverage limits as well as the premium. Made me very comfortable with the company as everything is very transparent and upfront during the process. Real decent rates, and you are rewarded for claim free years. An incentive is always nice. Plus, it motivates the homeowner to keep up with maintenance, repairs, and the overall condition and safety of your home. I just completed the self inspection today. I actually enjoyed completing it, and it makes you take a good close look at many areas of your home that you may not otherwise. How often do you get down on your hands and knees to inspect the lines, fittings, and tank bolts of your toilets? While mine all look great and are newer, I could have easily spotted something cracked and/or about to fail, that could have resulted in lots of water damage, expenses, and just a huge messy headache. Makes you realize things like this should be inspected every so often as its definitely in your best interest. So everything is just pending the results of the inspection. But to this point, between all the positive online reviews, great website, the extremely friendly and responsive customer service I received online, and the companies overall reputation, its nothing short of 5 stars. Thank you, OpenHouse, for this breath of fresh air at a time when insurance companies are either leaving the state or raising rates by ridiculous percentages on folks. You guys have been phenomenal thus far!!!
