The tellers at the front are very knowledgeable and I have never had to go beyond them to get the help that I need!!! Tracy is the absolute best!!

1 /5 Heather Roxie: Was told I needed a credit check to open up a savings account. My wife and I proceeded to tell her we were working on our credit to buy a house and she told us we couldnt open the savings without it. She ran our credit told us how bad it was then proceeded to open the savings account. We went home and I googled do banks or credit unions usually do this for a savings and was distressed to see that no this is not a common practice. This credit search was not a soft credit check to check out banking history this was a hard search. We were hoping to put our pension here but I dont trust them to make good banking decisions with us now.

This really is a great choice for anyone looking to switch banks or open a new account. 5 /5 M Family: Dealing with many banks in my life 40+ years. It is a must for me to acknowledge the exception customer oriented, and speedy service from Tracy Moore. We are from Orlando 60 miles away, we were drawing to this bank because of highest rate of interest, opening and closing account at matured time less than 10 minutes each. Both times, Tracy was the agent taking care of us. We had question after leaving the bank, she returned our call within 1 hour. Thank you for the great service from Tracy and the team at Titusville branch.

Unlike many other credit unions, this institution performs a hard inquiry on your credit report even when you are only applying for a checking account (not a loan product). A hard inquiry can show up on your credit file and may impact your score. In my research, credit unions such as Navy Federal Credit Union, Launch Credit Union, Space Coast Credit Union, Fairwinds Credit Union, and VyStar Credit Union also review credit, but they typically use a soft inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. This credit union also seems to apply stricter requirements for what they consider lower credit scores, along with additional restrictions on checking account usage. While this approach may work for some, consumers who are rebuilding credit or who prefer fewer restrictions may find more flexible options at other credit unions. I would recommend asking about these policies up front so you can make the best decision for your situation.
