1 /5 Kayla Brittain: This bank is useless. Ive been banking here since it switched from Bank of America. The hours are not for the working people. Today I came in to replace my card that expires next month and was told I would have to pay to get a new card early. Ive never replaced my card due to damage or anything, just simply wanted a new card so I can get my billing setup since this one is expiring. As long as I have been banking here for this shouldnt have been an issue. Not to mention 2 of the tellers are trying to activate the card I handed them with an expiration of 07/25 and told me they activated it for me!! So whatever card is coming in the mail is active so hopefully no one opens my mail!
Update- I called customer service and they told me that they activated the card in the mail, so they canceled my card and the one I had coming and told me to go get a new one and they needed to waive the fee and noted my account. I went back up there, calmly and told them what I had been told again they teller had an attitude with me and finally gave me a new card
Today im looking at my mobile banking and they changed me. Remind you that customer service canceled my card so I had no card!! I called customer service back and she said that the lake city branch had to waice my fee and she would have them call me. Well guess who called me, the teller telling me that all their prices were online and thats what i was being charged. So ya know I dont care if it was $5 or $50, I was not informed there would be a charge on my account and she did not say that there would be either, at what point is that not a FRAUDULENT CHARGE?! Once payroll is changed to our new bank account, this one will be closed. Do better, Ameris.
