istvankm This bank does not help the poor. After my wedding and starting nursing school, I couldnt keep up with maintaining $3,000 in my savings account. Therefore, the bank was charging me $15 monthly "maintenance" fees. Now that Im trying to close my accounts with them, they wont let me leave! I have to zero out my accounts (take all my $$ out) and then the only way I can close my accounts is to call the company number (1-800). But they dont let you close for a few days. Probably because they know you still have automatic payments occurring and they want to make sure your account (with $0) is charged so they can squeeze more money out of you with overdraft fees! Its a going away present for BOA! It is definitely a time for a change! If you are tired of losing $$ from BOA, get out of there ASAP! Go to a bank that isnt as complicated and doesnt charge monthly fees! I am personally going to Golden 1 for their free checking. Cant wait to finally rid myself of BOA if they ever let me go!
