Margot McGowan Sarah is an absolute joy to work with and the most incredible goldsmith I have ever met. I now own a few pieces of her exquisite jewlery, including my custom handmade engagement ring and soon to be made, custom wedding band. Her work in person is jaw dropping. The details and her crafts-women-ship is above anything I have ever seen! Completely breathtaking. Unique, bespoke, original, luxury, one-of-a-kind, custom pieces. The showroom at her store The Fates, in Nevada City, CA, is transcendent. Being able to see and try on the jewlery is a gift, and also dangerous because you want to purchase everything! I am a minimalist, so Sarah really listened when designing my ring, while still incorporating her subtle flair. Photos don’t do this 4ct diamond ring justice from my iPhone! Along with the stunning diamond crown and diamond tapered baguettes, it’s absolute perfection. Her work is so detailed oriented and while she implemented such a high level of technical skill to craft this ring, she was able to really understand the elegance that worked for me. This ring looks simple compared to what else she produces, but it’s perfect for me and I’m so grateful! I absolutely cannot WAIT for my wedding band and more pieces from Sarah in the future. Highly recommend. 100 stars!!!!

Rondell Wonderful experience. The young lady working was very helpful and patient with me and my weird request. ( I wanted a shorter bar for my tougue ring and wanted to use one from a nipple ring ) If you are looking for body jewelry downs down this is the place. PSA You should always clean new jewelry before you put it in your body regardless if its prepackaged or not.

Ruth Ann Barrett Must visit this shop in Santa Cruz. Sarah is top notch jewelry designer as well as a collector of objets dart which are not necessarily very pricey but you value for their beauty and craftsmanship. In addition to earrings I bought some wonderful Japanese incense, a small Asian inspired round wooden box with cover for my smaller earrings I wear frequently, and a long necklace to dress up some plain T’s I wear in the summer. I spent a good bit of time in the shop and enjoyed the conversation with Sarah as she re-strung one of her necklaces I inadvertently broke and which was a gift from a friend. Here are some pics of my “finds.” It took an hour to drive from the East Bay to enjoy the day at the beach to include, of course, a visit at the Salt Jewelry studio and then lunch!
