5 /5 Zook Cheryl “Go2Godzz”: Love my new wedding ring! Mark and Denise helped solidify the design and select the right sized diamonds to complement the large stone in the center. Modern design in platinum. When my ring finger that I thought was permanently enlarged at the knuckle from an incident with our dog and later had the good fortune of my knuckle returning to its pre-injury size, Mark sized my ring twice without charge. Not something you expect everyday. A unique shop within a unique town, with real people and their pets bringing to life customers jewelry visions.

5 /5 Bonnie D: I came with a friend and brought a Tanzanite I wanted set. I love their unique work. I did a lot of window shopping. They helped me to define what I wanted so I ordered a necklace. 2 weeks later it was ready for pick up and I couldnt be happier. Its beautiful and unique. It makes the stone look great. I am very interested in some carved stone pieces they have. Great people, very personable and helpful. The fixed my silver bracelet while I was waiting. Im looking forward to seeing the carved amethyst piece they are working on.

1 /5 G.H. M: We travel to Nevada City as part of our 30th wedding anniversary and had done some research and found Utopia Stone as a likely place to have new wedding rings designed and made. Their website had examples of exactly what we were looking for. When we entered the shop on 10/18/2023 a small dog began to wander out the door, not knowing the dog I was hesitant to touch it and or forcibly push it back into the shop. I was concerned I would startle the animal and it could bite me, so I let the female employee behind the counter know the dog had wandered out. She immediately became agitated with me and accused me of letting what she described as a blind, deaf dog out of the shop. She was incredibly rude and rather than thank me, she accused me of negligence for her dog. I was honestly taken aback by her behavior, if the dog was that important and feeble I would have thought she would have given it more attention. Needless to say we didn’t stay another moment in the shop nor spend our money there, our visit to Nevada City had been incredible and she didn’t represent the other people we met there. We did find a place that designed our new rings in Reno and we happily spent 5k on the new rings. Our takeaway is don’t shop here, you might not respond properly to a blind deaf dog escaping and I would also guess losing a sale is more important than being nice at Utopia Stone.

A must go to shop on Broad Street in Nevada City. Some thing for everyone. Dont miss out on a one of a kind piece just for you or your loved one.
