1 /5 C R: Progressive unfairly raised my rates after an accident where debris hit the underside of my car on the freeway. They labeled it a collision and said I was at fault—how is that my fault? To make it worse, they never told me about the rate hike or fault decision. When I called, the rep admitted they “forgot” due to switching to digital notices. Totally unprofessional. I’m leaving Progressive and will never recommend them to anyone. Terrible service and even worse communication.

1 /5 Alejandra Orozco: I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of my case by Marina, the individual assigned to assist me. Throughout the process, Marina was consistently unavailable to take my calls or provide meaningful support. On the rare occasions I was able to reach her, she was dismissive, unprofessional, and even transferred my calls without addressing my concerns. As someone who has sustained injuries and is older, I required clear guidance and support in navigating the documentation and procedures. Instead, I was met with condescending responses such as, “Read the paperwork, you signed it, it’s your duty and responsibility to complete the tasks.” This approach was not only unhelpful but also deeply disrespectful. My experience with the services provided was highly disappointing. Our family has been with Progressive for generations, trusting that we would be taken care of in the event of an accident. Unfortunately, when we needed real support, we were met with indifference and minimal assistance. Due to this unacceptable experience, we will not be recommending Progressive to anyone, especially those within our household or extended network. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and improvements are made to ensure no one else has to endure a similar situation.

1 /5 Ashley Morales: I am very frustrated with Progressive regarding my liability insurance after my recent crash. I understand that liability coverage is a lower tier policy, but I expected at least some guidance and help from them after the accident. Unfortunately, I was given no directions on important next steps, which made an already stressful situation much harder. For example, no one told me it is now required by law to report the crash to the DMV within a certain number of days, or else your license could be revoked. This critical information was completely missing from any communication. Also, Progressive did not offer the option to declare my vehicle a total loss, which would have made the process smoother. Because of this lack of clear communication and assistance, I had to go to the DMV myself, where I struggled trying to handle everything alone. Progressive never helped me with the DMV process and just left the claim as it was. I felt abandoned and unsupported, and Progressive was not cooperative at all in explaining what I needed to do next. I have no proof that my vehicle was totaled thanks to their failure to offer or provide proper documentation. This experience left me tired and overwhelmed, and I believe Progressive should seriously improve how they help customers with liability claims—especially in explaining legal requirements and options clearly after an accident. I also believe Progressive should add an option for customers to pay for their own appraiser through the company. In my experience, the DMV does not accept appraisals from an independent appraiser hired privately by the customer, which created an unnecessary obstacle. Offering an official option to pay for a customer’s appraiser through Progressive would save people from additional hassle and confusion, and help ensure a fair and transparent claims process. Overall, Progressive’s lack of support and communication made a bad situation worse. I hope they take steps to better guide and assist customers moving forward.

1 /5 Leea deR: Like others here I am now forced to go with someone else after decades with progressive because no matter what docs I send in they are not enough to prove where I live ???? This is for a renewal for the same cars at the same residence I have had for the last 6 years so far . Weeks and weeks of this . We arent the only ones either . This is also happening to my building manager and several others where I live as well . Edit : after progressive saw that geico picked me up they were suddenly ok with having me back. Like right then.
