2 /5 Jim Mannoia: We use Omnia, formerly Bill Terry as our broker for our homeowners association. In fairness, they are fighting the tragic legal extortion underway by California insurance companies since the wildfires have driven prices up. I do believe they attempted to shop for us and perhaps even widely. But we had little no heads up that our increase was going to be 1,000% until we were within hours of having to make a final decision legally. This failure to help us understand the severity of the problem has been very upsetting for us. While I do not want to say this is their fault entirely, I do think they could have been more attentive to the interests of their clients. And one wonders if these outrageous increases end up benefiting them because of the percentage commissions they receive?
