1 /5 Desiree Shin: I hate and never post bad reviews for businesses. My family owns a business and I know how hard it is and how much one bad review from a misunderstanding or bad communication can really effect a business. BUT the woman/co-owner BJ should not be allowed to work with customers EVER. She is rude, condescending and demeaning. Her attitude is downright poor. I’ve come in here twice now and both interactions were so horrible I didn’t even buy what I thought was a gorgeous piece. Sounds like the other owners have great reviews but my interaction with her is just so disappointing. Going to patron a different small business.

1 /5 Amy Anderson: I brought a complicated necklace to this shop to be adjusted. When i returned to the shop to discuss the changes , the necklace was in a shambles - tangled, broken, shortened- as if someone had tried to do the work and then had just stopped. Having lost trust, I did not finish this work/repair with them.

5 /5 Jane St. Clair: Outstanding business, staff and stakeholders in the community. I have bought beautiful pieces from LOliphant over the years, and Ive taken jewelry in for repairs. Each piece Ive taken in has a great deal of sentimental value and I knew that they were in the best of hands. Ken is an authority on gemstones and served as a mentor for a student of mine who was considering jewelry design as a possible career. He gave so much time and expertise to her learning, and she came out of the experience with a huge boost in knowledge, business savvy and confidence. I love the shop. The pieces are elegant and their prices are reasonable. The integrity of all who work there is refreshing and unquestionable. I moved from Santa Monica, and cried when I went by there to say goodbye. These wonderful people had become part of my life.

5 /5 Dan Tuft: Best jewelry store on Montana Avenue. Only jewelry store that designs jewelry. Other jewelry stores on Montana will sell jewelry, but LOliphant is the only one with an onsite designer, gemologist and workshop. Furthermore, their customer service is superior. They truly care. I trusted my fiances engagement ring with them, and they did not disappoint. They worked with me and provide expert guidance. One would be hard pressed to find a better jeweler. I highly recommend LOliphant for all your jewelry needs.

5 /5 marco: Cute, quaint jewelry store that cuts a lot of the hype and bullshit out of jewelry shopping. their walls are beige and the overhead lights are warm, so youre looking at jewelry in natural settings. The staff are friendly and welcoming, but they wont BS you either. Overall it is a great, low-pressure place to stop in.
