1 /5 Claudia S: My family has been insured with Jim for around 25 years. I purchased a new car in August and requested to add my car on my mom’s policy since the car was in both of our names. Initially I was going to switch to AAA but, I thought it would be easier and worth the savings to add it to the family policy. I called and spoke to Jewelia, she helped me add our new car to the policy. Added my payment information. Before getting off the phone with her I double and triple confirmed that she had added my debit card on autopay, she confirmed and later sent me the policy card information. There are additional details I won’t include in the interest of time. I had to update November 24, 2024 1:30ish PM I get into an accident and find out that my policy had lapsed and that my premium is $700, was completely uninformed. I filled a claim and it was denied although we were previously coming to a resolution but, I ended up getting a lawyer to help me with the process when State Farm was notified they stopped responding to me so I called the CS center amd was advised that my claim was denied. No letter has been found, not in my email, not in my app and not in my mail. Mind you I am so traumatized from this experience that I am super hyper vigilant in checking mail for updates because no one from State Farm will give me any type of information. I am struggling with anxiety and depression. I am struggling to get to work and my son was robbed, attacked and had a gun pulled out on him because I am not mobile and I’ve paid close to $1,900 to State Farm. I am barely hanging on to my job. In any case I advised jewelia to please email me with updates if she was not able to get in touch with my on my person phone. I also gave her my work cell. This should not have happened to me but, I have a feeling that the claim was denied because I hired a lawyer who was not very helpful and only delayed any process I had already made and was close to coming to a resolution with the payment investigation agent. I am afraid that something could happen and they’ll make it just as hard for my parents or lord forbid they drop them like they did to all those people in LA. Meanwhile they’re hosting the football game at the state farm stadium in Arizona. I am not looking or ever was looking to get rich off this claim I just wanted to get back on the road and take care of my family. My car has been sitting for going on 3 months now. Jim takes 7-10 days to reply to my emails and when he does it’s inaccurate information. Thanks for reading my rant I’m at my wits end and I’m struggling in understanding how some of those who we depend on to come through for emergencies and life changing situations could turn on you and act like this. Not one phone call has been returned from Jim since 1. I added the new car and 2. Since the accident.
