1 /5 Alexa Gentilucci: Steven Henderson was the insurance agent for our Homeowners’ Association; that is until challenges arose and Steve failed in his goals stated clearly on his website: “ to make the world of insurance as straightforward & personalized as possible…my priority is to always act as an insurance ADVISOR, above all else…I will have answers & solutions for you”.
Farmers had issued our Association a non-renewal notice due to proximity to fire lines. And after years of on-time payment and no claims made, Steve honored our client relationship by making no phone call, email, or other communication to offer alternatives or answers. In fact, when we proactively reached out to Steve to learn about our options, he claimed he had no knowledge that Farmers’ had even issued the non-renewal to us, his client. He then strung us along for two months promising that his adjusters were working to find a plan for us. However, this was nothing more than empty assurances—he never provided any options, answers, or advice. Instead, we were left in limbo, with no acknowledgement that Farmers would not insure us. Steve’s deliberate deception created headache and wasted months of our personal time. Worse yet, his actions left our Association exposed to significant liability risks, when we could have been actively seeking a new insurer.
Bottom line, if you are looking for an agent who will be respectful and advise you about protecting your assets, especially when things get tough as they often do when it comes to insurance, Steve is not the right choice.
