1 /5 Matthew Kinsella: HORRIBLE experience with this broker. I have been a paying customer with this broker for YEARS. They called me to notify me that my policy had been canceled (with no forewarning or grace period) because of a credit card issue. The representative - Margarita - then offered me absolutely zero help. Nothing about getting me a new policy, no guarantees - absolutely nothing.
There are many other brokers out there and I would recommend using any one of them over this one. Terrible customer service experience.
12/28/23 UPDATE: This is in response to the half-hearted reply to my comment (I should also note that the manager tried calling me after I posted my initial comment, but didnt even offer an apology or solution of any kind before hanging up on me).
My problem with this broker has nothing to do with the insurance policies of the actual agency (Mercury) - insurance agencies change their policies all the time. My issue is that at NO POINT, did this broker update me (every other broker I work with has done this) and when I called to fix the issue they were useless and void of any empathy whatsoever. Not only were they not offering to assist in anyway, but the representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. She kept talking over me, wouldnt let me finish a sentence and was VERY condescending (this seems to be a trend for them).
I would also like to note that I called the broker who handles my Homeowners policy and they fixed the issue and got me a new auto insurance policy THE SAME DAY. I doubt that this was attributed to some magical super powers the other broker possesses, but rather good customer service. Again, do yourself a service and find ANY OTHER BROKER - this one is will do you no favors.
