James Hart My wife I have been with Northern Capital Management (NCM) for nearly 30 years. We have worked directly with Jim Wilson, Dave Holloway and other staff members at NCM during this time. My employer used them to manage our 401K plan from the start of the plan sometime in the early 90s. I dont usually write reviews but felt compelled after seeing the negative review posted in 2020. Reviews are like opinions, we all have them, so sharing mine. Jim, Dave and the entire staff at NCM have earned my trust and business by their actions, ethics and knowledge. They have been willing to meet with us as often as we wish and have found their advice and explanations of investing (both risk and reward) to be understandable and on target. They have helped and advised on matters outside of the direct business of investing. Life Insurance, Long Term Care, Wills, Medicare etc. My wife and I are both now retired and looking forward to the years ahead. Monica Lowe After realizing that a place like Fidelity was for-profit (they dont work FOR you, they work to make their own money!), I was looking for a fiduciary to manage my investments properly. Shelley was super friendly, helpful, and explained everything so I understood. In her care, mine, my husbands, and my mothers IRAs have grown substantially, even through the ups and downs of the last couple of years. Yes, a fiduciary costs more, but as a company that is legally bound to work in my best interests, I still have made more on my investments than I did in over 5 years with Fidelity. And with my mother now living off her IRA, the ability to do an automatic payment every month has been such a time and energy saver. I love the future planning, as well - now we have a clear vision of what we need to retire, and Ive even gotten informational calls when theres been upheaval in the market. Shelley and Ryan have been nothing but wonderful, and I have every confidence in them (and we arent huge investors, but I never felt like our little bit was less worthy of attention from her office. I appreciate that!)
