5 /5 Tracy Vass: I would just like to pass along my great appreciation for Brent Thompson’s work on my recent case. Though we have just reached a resolution and my emotions are still a little exuberant at the moment, his excellent work is just as true now as it will be months from now when my exuberance may have subsided somewhat.
Brent not only did an excellent job, he did so much more than just his job. He helped me navigate a very scary landscape while I was in a very unsteady state. He not only did his job he did it according to his high work ethic, his unimpeachable character, and most importantly his heart. He never just dismissed any of my extraneous, superfluous, or just mis-aimed questions. So much so that even when he was correct about my question about a beneficial change in the sentencing guidelines since my arrest not applying, he still investigated it and found a way to get everyone to buy into that resolution. That has made this a much easier pill to swallow.
I also believe that he would have made a very persuasive argument for reasonable doubt if we had gone to trial. So my decision to instead accept the plea had nothing to do with my belief in Brent but only in obtaining the most guaranteed and least impactful resolution. Though, I am sure you already know this, I still wanted to tell you that you not only have an excellent, thorough, and tenacious lawyer in Mr. Thompson you also have a personable and caring man of the highest quality.
