PEMCO Insurance - Spokane office - Spokane Valley (WA)

1 /5 Eric McMurtrey: PEMCO wont insure because of wildfire risk. New home were purchasing is in an area that hasnt had a wildfire since the Spokane fire of 1889. Would have loved to bundle our Home and Auto, but looks like we will be dropping auto and going with a different insurer all together. Your loss not mine. I wonder how many auto policy holders will do the same. Not really a good way to sustain customer revenue.

5 /5 Mostly Me: PEMCO treated me so well after one of their policy holders backed into me that I switched to them after my car was repaired. Good Company.

1 /5 F. Rizzo: After YEARS of paying (thousands in) premiums and NEVER filing a claim, my homeowners was suddenly cancelled. The reason given was "wildfires", but I live in a city with a fire hydrant across the street and a fire station nearby- been here 22 years, never been a fire of any kind here!! Even better, after notifying me of the cancellation, they BILLED ME FOR AN INCREASE IN MY RATE, on a policy that was already paid in full!!! If I could leave zero stars, I would.... I will be contacting the insurance commissioner. Take my advice and shop for insurance elsewhere.

I dont know about the rest of you who currently hold a PEMCO homeowners policy, but we just received our new statement with a 38.79% increase in premiums from last year. 38.79%!!! The justification given was everyone else is raising their prices, so we must too. OK! But, 38.79%! Really?And to add insult to injury, PEMCO is now charging a $2 installment fee to take our montly premium directly from our checking account. What the hell! Im stunned! Ive had difficult conversations with PEMCO before, but this is just completely outrageous. I dont know what you are trying to pull here, PEMCO, but this is just not right. And you know it!!!

1 /5 Richard Siler: PEMCO has priced themselves out of a customer. After 24 years with PEMCO, no Automobile accidents and one hail storm claim on our house and one automobile, our rates have nearly doubled. Much greater than inflation. We have gone to an Independent agent and have changed insurance companies to a less expensive and very reputable insurance company. Goodbye PEMCO, you have lost an excellent customer.
