1 /5 PJ R’man: I just finished moving my Morgan Stanley (formerly E*Trade) account to Schwab. This company has been extremely frustrating, put my account on hold, required me to call three times now, locked me out of my account, has taken more than two weeks to give me my money (still pending), and charged TWO very large fees while they were at it, one from our existing account AND one from our NEW account with Schwab. Why two fees? Im sure Morgan Stanley split them in order to hide them since I only found the fees among the downloaded transactions I happened to capture before they locked me out and the description on one of them was just "Brokerage to brokerage fund transfer." NOT COOL. I called Schwab for help in figuring out what Morgan Stanley was pulling and Schwab gave us a credit to cover both fees!! By the way, Charles Schwab has real people to help their customers, staffed by phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year--REAL HUMANS. To recap: I highly recommend Charles Schwab and DO NOT RECOMMEND ever, ever, ever MORGAN STANLEY for your money!
