1 /5 Eric Winkler: This is the worse bank Ive dealt with in terms of account management and branch management. After enduring their lack of professionalism regarding my deceased fathers small account with them, Im now getting an extended runaround about closing my accounts. Closing accounts with Key Bank is like trying to get rid of toenail fungus. They drag it out so they can assess more fees. Its really a shame, because their tellers are awesome...friendly, professional and just nice people caught up in a poorly run bank.

They open accounts, then suspend them without reason and refuse to return funds. Their helpline and branches offer no solutions, and after multiple attempts, my money is still inaccessible. Choose a more reliable bank. This warning goes for U.S. citizens as well—KeyBank’s branches and helpline lack the ability to solve customer problems.

1 /5 L M: If I could rate a zero I would, but cant. I went in there interested in opening a bank account, never was acknowledged by 3 of the employees (I walked right by one while entering) while waiting to be helped by any of the 3 who were talking to each other, they seen me, not one offered a hello, we will be right with you. A few years ago, same thing. I called, left 3 messages, sent a email, no reply. Maybe they dont want customers or dont like their job. They did me a favor. Look at their reviews, mostly negative. On to a bank who wants my business.

1 /5 Kira The amazing Russian toy terrier: Truly disappointed! My dad switched to keybank just recently as he was having issues with his last bank whom he banked with for over 40 years. When my dad set up his new account at KEY, Noone bothered to help him complete his direct deposit for his social security check. Because it wasnt complete ( I had no idea it wasnt done) he never received it on his normal deposit day. when he went to go withdraw money for his groceries and to pay his bills there was no money. I called and left a msg with the person who helped him open the account only to have them not return any of the msgs. I then sat on hold with social security twice for 3 hours and when I finally got through the guy hung up on my dad. So we went back to key to have them complete the info needed for him to hopefully get his check in time to pay the bills so he doesnt get more late fees since hes now past due. I could only help out with so much since Im also currently taking time off wok for cancer treatment. What an a mess and aavoidable stress i didnt need!
