1 /5 Kristopher Aaron: DO NOT TRUST this office. I was with this agent since 2019.
If you aren’t aware, the State of Washington passed a new law in 08/2021 prohibiting insurance providers to set customer policy premium rates based on credit scores. You should see a significant price drop from this even if you have good credit. If you didn’t see a price reduction last renewal, I would advise you to look into it. Especially with THIS office.
I am writing my review based on this office breaking my trust. My insurance plan renewed with its first payment being due 07/29/21. This insurance office, as like every other insurance office, knew that bill SB5010 had been proposed and passed in 03/2021 doing away with insurance premiums based on credit worthiness.
The James Davis Farmers office knew this information and still renewed my insurance policy based off of credit worthiness!
They are stating even though they knew SB5010 was passed in March of 2021 that they were still able to renew my policy based on credit worthiness because the law didn’t pass until August 2021.
My first payment on my new policy was 07/29/21! I payed 6 months for this policy!
The law was passed the same month of my policy renewal!
I payed for a full policy that was based on credit worthiness after this office, just like every other insurance agent knew that SB5010 was passed! This was passed to benefit the consumer! YOUR underwriters KNEW of the upcoming guideline changes yet you still processed my policy renewal because the law wasn’t in full affect.
My new insurance policy renewal from this office was $241.00 less! They completely robbed me from 07/2021-01/2022 and are refusing to pay me what’s owed. $241.00
If I, just like any other person not working in the insurance industry would’ve known about SB5010 passing or even existing, I wouldve waited to renew or canceled and reopened my policy!
A trustworthy insurance agent would’ve done that for their customers because it’s the RIGHT thing to do!
They wouldn’t have processed policy renewals based on credit worthiness after the bill, knowing they had a window to be greedy until the law was passed.
I was sure FARMERS was better than this!
I called and emailed! The office and Famers! The fact they are so sound on overcharging me for 6 months is appalling. I mean you didn’t even adjust the policy as it was stated to do so!
I switched insurance companies!
