1 /5 Smith Mrs: waited on hold with the mortgage department for a "10 minute" , starting at 4:15, P.M. waited for over half an hour, called my local branch 5 times and requested a call back at 430. No one answered at all or called back. Very disappointed, had questions that needed answered and had zero representation from my branch locally or not. I would give zero stars of that was an option. This is not the first time Ive tried to contact them by phone to get no response.

1 /5 Billie Sennert: My 82 yr old mom had a month to month withdrawal with Straight talk phone service which is now Verizon. Her phone quit working and when we called we couldn’t access the account because of a 4 digit pin that was never in existence. It’s only a Verizon thing not a straight talk. Straight talk told us to cancel the card as they couldn’t stop the auto draw. So we canceled the card to have Umpqua give them the money anyway. They have taken the charge out twice and also gave straight talk her NEW debit card number. I even turned it into the fraud department to get denied. The reason they keep drawing is because Visa has a deal with most major merchants that they will continue to pay them even with the canceled card. So she is forced to close her account. We can’t get through to Umpqua that straight talk told us to close the card to stop payment. And that we can’t access an account that only existed month to month that NEVER had a 4 digit code as straight talk NEVER set there accounts up that way. So the relationship that Umpqua has with Visa and the big merchants is much more important then their relationship with us consumers. Without the consumers they will not exist. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a bank!! BEWARE!!! Just because you cancel your card does not mean that Umpqua bank will honor your request!!

4 /5 Karen Layman: Never had a problem as of yet ..any time I go in Ill wait for Brandon to be available for helping me..in every way he has helped..when my account was broken into I went to Brandon and had my issues taken care of ASAP..SHOUT OUT TO BEST EMPLOYEE!!!

1 /5 Steven Johnson: Absolutely useless Customer Service. Terrible Chat help handling a simple task of blocking an unauthorized charge. I was bait-and-switched by LycaMobile and reported the unauthorized charge to Umpqua within seven hours. The charge to my Umpqua account was still Pending. Annette would not handle it and passed me off to Fraud Department, but their phone line advised a 26 minute wait time. This was on Wednesday, July 31 at 12:29. I have responsibilities during the day that dont allow for me to sit on hold for a half hour. Just bank elsewhere.
