1 /5 Cheri Riley: No, damn good. No updates on your cases no communications with the office or the attorney. I am basically having to work the case myself and I still Get no results no answers. When you call to make an appointment, you get the runaround. A simple case that has been going on for over a year and still no results no answers no nothing. Don’t waste your money or time.

1 /5 Daniel Green: ***PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU HIRE JOLEI SHIPLEY*** Read her reviews. This isnt a one off complaint from a disgruntled client. It is a consistent pattern of behavior. I hired Jolei for my divorce and she is one of the worst lawyers(and people) I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Her only goal is taking your money and closing your case while doing as little work as possible. She didnt advocate for me in any way, shape or form. She constantly pushed me to accept the lopsided terms my ex and her lawyer were offering while trying to scare me by saying the judge would likely give me even less if it ended up going to trial. I am not exaggerating when i say it felt like it was me versus Jolei and my ex during mediation. I am fortunate that I can afford to hire a different attorney and the difference was absolutely night and day. My new attorney said there was absolutely no reason for me to accept anything close to what my ex was offering and he could see no reason the judge would say anything differently. If I had listened to Jolei during mediation I would have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. My new attorney was going to do depositions, sent questions to opposing counsel to be answered and was taking many other steps to put us into an advantageous position. Jolei did absolutely NOTHING before pushing me into mediation and then trying to manipulate me to take my exs offers. In all honesty my ex wife should have paid Jolei the $10k because Jolei advocated for her much more than me. After hiring my new attorney my ex and I quickly reached an agreement in which I literally got 100% of what I was asking for. The reviews about her lack of communication are also true. During mediation she said she was going to forward me an email sent from opposing counsel. I have emailed and called her office for over a month trying to get her to do what she told me she would do. She FINALLY responded and said she had no idea what i was talking about and that no such email even existed, lol. I replied to that email and its been 9 days with no response. I guess $10k doesnt get you what it used to..... To top everything off, she is also VERY racist. We were talking about the local Harmony Science Academy school and Jolei said "Oh, you dont want your kid to go there they teach Jihad". When I told her how offensive that was she doubled down and literally couldnt understand how I thought she said anything wrong. I have filed a complaint with the State Bar, but I have low hopes that they will do anything. To summarize, if you want to burn $10k on a racist, lazy lawyer who will probably do more to help your opposition than you then Jolei Shipley is exactly who you are looking for. If you want a lawyer that will earn their money and be an advocate for you then please look elsewhere. Please trust the reviews that others and I have posted and find someone that will do what is right for you.
