5 /5 James Wegner: Slaton Schauer Law Firm
I wish I could post more than five stars for this wonderful law firm.
After recently being the executor of my mother’s estate, I realized that my will from 45 years ago was woefully out of date and I needed to get my estate into a trust. I could not use my mother’s estate firm as they are in California, but they highly recommended this law firm.
When I returned to Texas, I gave them a call and they set up an initial meeting less than a week away. Kim was my first point of contact, and she made sure that I got a good head start on what I needed to consider and bring to the introductory meeting.
I met with Regina a few days later and she walked me through the entire process under Texas law and explained every detail I asked about in a way that made sense to me. I walked away from that meeting with a much broader view of how I wanted to structure my trust.
I made what I thought was a comprehensive outline of what I wanted and submitted it by email. Kim got back to me a few days later and we walked through my outline and she pressed me for as much detail as possible in order to have the finished trust meet my expectations.
In the end, the signing meeting went flawlessly. We didn’t need to change a single word and I cannot imagine how it could have been better planned, constructed or executed. From start to finish, the process and end result were clear, concise and exactly what I wanted. Both Regina and Kim are exceptional at what they do and how they do it. I look forward to working with them over the years as life changes things.
(Six stars…)
