1 /5 Rokki (tasteink): I don’t bank here, and while the staff does seem friendly, I think it is absurd that they charge 1% to non-account-holders to cash a check written on this bank. Walmart would cash this check for $3, and they assume risk. What the hell is this 1% fee that Spirit of Texas bank charges? I would never open an account at this bank knowing this. This is sketchy and wrong.

Cristina was so professional and personable that I actually ENJOYED giving her my money to open my account. I hope that the rest of my experience with this bank is just as good.
