1 /5 Kahmari Brown: Its a SHAME I Didnt READ the REVIEWS before i called this JOKE of a PRETEND LEGAL AID Service. I know they CANT be as INCOMPETENT Around the Rest of the State of Texas as they are here in Belton/Temple, but this is downright SHAMEFUL. How do you DENY aid to more applicants than you actually ASSIST?!? And to have a DIFFERENT EXCUSE for EVERY Person (AFTER taking ALL of Their Inforrmation) for WHY You CANT HELP THEM is DIABOLICAL!!! Like WHY even BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME!!!! Probably should Call HOUSTON HEADQUARTERS and REPORT THIS LOCATION and the TRASH OFFICE MANAGER that. Should just simply RESIGN!!!!

1 /5 April Flores: They keep telling me they could not reach me and denied me. I thought something was wrong with my phone I spent and hour with my phone company saying this person said they called and I did not received but my phone rang for other people after a few days calling more than 15 times to their office they didnt answer me they emailed me and I wrote emails. I offered them money like 700.00 for help. They denied me because I was unreachable. I think it is time for someone to find out who their board members are and what the policies are for their grant. They are a nonprofit there are guidelines they have to meet. After reading the reviews I feel like this is something they do to people.

1 /5 Someone Special: I did the application online. Someone called me on April 23,2024 and Took all my information. She was not rude or anything. Then I get an email an hour or so later saying I was denied. The next day, I go to the office to get a complain form or something to file an appeal. Google says they are open until 5pm. It was 1238pm when I arrived. Got there and the door says they are closed at 12. It would have been great to know that before I wasted gas since im jobless at the moment. Lastly, its hard to say if they are truely busy based on reviews since a lot of people do not post reviews, or its usually people who got upset about something that do, but I will say, I wish they tell us ahead of time if they are taking certain cases or not so that I dont have to waste time giving all my personal information just to be denied. It really seems like there needs to be a better system in place. Plus, the resources they give does not help either so its pointless to giving out that. Im not going to just say lonestar leagal aid, but, Texas overall can do better to help its most vulnerable population demographics.

5 /5 Shante Legington: My personal experience with Lone Star in Belton, TX has been a great one. The online application was easy to complete and I received a call back the very next morning from the receptionist, followed up with a phone consultation with an attorney before noon. The attorney was very informative in explaining the laws, hearing process, including an appeal if necessary. He had already done his research before our call, and with less than a week to prepare he was able to get my case dismissed.
