1 /5 Mark Hanby: I’m writing to express my disappointment with how this agency has handled our recent auto renewal.
We were surprised to receive an email showing a significant rate increase ($47 more per month) despite having no speeding tickets or moving violations, and despite drastically reducing our daily mileage. I’m a teacher who works just 30 seconds from home, so this jump in cost feels unjustified.
I was told we could have saved $20–25 per month by using the Drivewise app. That would have been helpful to know earlier, but no one at the agency informed us. Now we’re told we need 50 separate trips before any savings apply, which will take us 6–7 weeks. In the meantime, we’re essentially overpaying by an additional $94.
What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of personal communication. There was no call to explain the increase or offer ways to lower our rate. When we joined, we were told this agency cared about the details and about each customer’s experience. That no longer feels true, unless maybe you’re a higher-paying client.
It takes real effort to find an insurance agency you can trust. I believed I had found one. Sadly, I’m now back to searching for a team that’s proactive, transparent, and truly values their customers.
