Miguel Guichard I got a DUI last year and hired a big law firm. I felt like I was just another number to this bigger law firm. I felt abandoned and neglected I never met my attorney in person to discuss the events and the possible outcomes. Every reschedule it was a different attorney representing me. He did absolutely nothing to advocate for my brother. There was no fight in him, no belief in his client. All he saw was a young Black man, and he allowed the system to swallow him whole without resistance. Fifteen years later, we’re still fighting for the justice my brother never received. Don Hector, you may not even remember the case, but I hope you understand the lasting damage you’ve done. What was just another case on your docket has permanently altered the course of a young man’s life—and torn through a family still trying to pick up the pieces. You failed him, and we will never forget it.
