1 /5 Melisha Rice: STAY AWAY! This attorney is both unprofessional and money hungry. I had hired the attorney for a case involving myself and my children. After a month or so, I realize that I probably wouldnt need the attorney anymore and ask for a refund on the down payment. This was in June that I hired him, by the end of July it was apparent that we would not need him at this time. At the end of July I spoke with the attorney in reference to the return of Monies, in which he told me he would get back with me in about 3 days, needless to say 30 days later I was still chasing the attorney. I left multiple phone calls, and sent numerous emails . The attorney never returned any of them until one day and finally after I going on a rant left an email, where he then responded partially. When I say partially its because when I asked how much money I would be refunded ( he never did anything towards our case, because at this time we still currently do not have a case), he added that he needed to make some calls to be sure that this was the right decision. And never called me back. He then finally called and told me my check would be in the mail still avoiding the answer of how much. When he returned the check it was missing a substantial amount, and it included the name of my child, which caused problems with cashing the check. I believe he did this facetiously due to us not needing an attorney which was not personal towards Mr Brodney. Either way he took it personally, and caused distress throughout the entire process. I was already on the run from a violent stalker who had just shot me out of my house and shot my 12 year old son. When I went to mr. Brodney it was in the event that I needed someone on my side, he proved to be the exact opposite. He was an enemy from the start and was only seeking monetary needs. To save all mothers, who are looking for a lawyer that looks like them the headache. Go with the right choice. Ive heard nothing but good things about him and even referred him out to others at the beginning of the process, however my personal experience with him was not pleasant.
