1 /5 Richard Turner: If I could rate 2024 and this agency lower than a 1/5, that is EXACTLY what I’d do. Never in my life have I received such awful customer service. One would think that if you’re paying for a service, you’d receive some degree of customer service and help. Not the case. I went through a recent separation and needed to have a new policy created. Cheri called and quoted my new premiums and I was blown away. They more than doubled. I have never had an accident, nor have I had a moving violation in more than a decade. The response I got was; “it’s a Cadillac.” Correct. It is. But this is my third Cadillac and I’m nearly 40. I asked whether any discounts had been applied, and I was told as a single person, “you don’t qualify for much.” Obviously I told them to go ahead and move forward. I have to have insurance. The more I thought about the way I was treated and spoken to on January 2nd, the more I became livid. I got a random mailout from Kristy Smith - State Farm and decided to call them. I moved my policy to her agency from Greg Cockerell and not only did my premiums reduce by more than $$66.00 a month, I was treated with good ole fashioned customer service. There were three discounts I was not receiving from Greg Cockerell’s “agency.” Then, to make matters worse, I woke up a few weeks ago to an alert on my State Farm app letting me know I needed to complete my set up on my new 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. Ummmm… I didn’t buy a Tahoe. My ex did. But it was placed on my policy. UNACCEPTABLE! It took nearly two weeks to have that Tahoe removed from my State Farm policy. Absolute worse local customer service for a State Farm “agency” that I’ve ever seen. My Momma raised me to treat the janitor the same way I’d treat a CEO. No lie. This group of people, namely Cheri, at Greg Cockerell’s “agency” should be ashamed of themselves. A separation is hard enough on folks. There’s no need to add insult to injury. Never again. Deplorable. Absolutely deplorable. I even added 2 more policies at Kristy Smith’s - State Farm and my amount monthly for three policies is less than a month of coverage with Cockerell. Y’all better review those policies. With today’s financial climate, every dollar saved counts. And I didn’t lose any amount of coverage by switching. I simply have an Agent and her staff who genuinely care about the name they represent.
