1 /5 Myia McCoy: My experience with Michael was extremely disappointing. Communication was poor, and each time I reached out, I had to remind him of the details of my case—which speaks volumes about the lack of preparation. He handled a very sensitive child custody matter inappropriately, which resulted in my first impression in court being chaotic and disorganized. There was no preparation for testimony, and one of my witnesses was not even aware they would be called to the stand until the morning of court. This level of unprofessionalism caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult process. I would rate 0/10 and strongly advise making him your very last choice for legal representation. In fact I suggest reporting him to the Bar

1 /5 LaJuana Mitchell: Michael Friedman in the 90s was a shark, 2025 hes sliding into court like a goldfish. Its obvious his heart is no longer into winning his cases, but just earning paychecks. Its time to retire and play golf. Dont waste your time and money.

5 /5 Antonio Richard: Mr Michael Friedman is a life saver I called him because I had a criminal legal problem, I just knew I was going to TDC until the day I met him. Ain’t no way I was supposed to be walking out of court with 5 years felony probation with the criminal history and all of the prior felony convictions that I have. But he fought with me until the end, Me and my family really appreciate him and I will most surely 95% recommend him to any one! I done had a couple good lawyers but by far he is the best to ever represent me in court. Thank you Mr. Michael Friedman!

1 /5 Kayla Agee: I left a review but it has been taken down. So Ill leave another. Michael is SO RUDE. He was well mannered before he took my money. After being paid he showed his true colors. He (MICHAEL) HUNG UP IN MY FACE while I was simply trying to explain what it was that we needed help with. He took his sweet time about handling the case after being retained. He has a very condescending tone when speaking with clients. If your considering retaining Im sure you can seek representation elsewhere. & If this review is taken down Ill simply post another. You dont get to treat people that way and not have any consequences.

5 /5 Michael Friedman: Reply to review by Kayla Agee: On 3/21/25 Michael Friedman was hired to represent Kaylas boyfriend, who is incarcerated for 20 years in the Texas prison system in a case out of Hunt County. The purpose of the employment was to get an unrelated drug case in Bowie County concluded so that any sentence from Bowie County would run concurrent with the Hunt County sentence. Upon request by Michael Friedman after plea negotiations, a Zoom hearing was scheduled by the Bowie County District Court at which the boyfriend pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 years to run concurrent with the Hunt County sentence. A court order to that effect was entered on June 13, whereby the Bowie County case was wrapped up and Michael Friedmans representation for that purpose was concluded. Several weeks later Michael Friedman was contacted by Kayla inquiring why the Texas prison system had not yet acknowledged the Bowie County sentencing order. Michael Friedman told her that he did not know the answer to that, but he would contact the Bowie County Clerk to find out. Kayla said she had already done that and began a tirade about the representation. Michael Friedman unilaterally terminated her call. Kayla immediately called again and continued her tirade with profanity. Michael Friedman told her that he had done what he was hired to do, that she was not his client, and that he did not intend to listen or talk to her any further. Michael Friedman then unilaterally terminated the call. Michael Friedman then contacted the Bowie County District Clerk and was advised that the Bowie County court order had been filed on June 16, that the Texas prison system had been duly notified in accordance with the clerks standard procedures, and that no additional legal procedure was necessary.
