Jessica Allgood-Santiago I have been in a 6 plus year custody battle that is very complexed and complicated. There are 3 joint managing conservators. So you know my background with attorneys. I have dealt with Sheila Shea, John Nix, Britton Brooks, Linzie Rossler, and Joe Neal Smith. I have nothing bad to say about any of these attorneys and are thankful for the part they played in our custody battle. They are all capable and good attorneys as why we hired them.
However Joe Neal Smith is my favorite. He was able to mediate quickly and effectively in my most recent custody case. He told me what I needed to hear and didn’t over sell it. He was upfront and grounded. He is experienced and that showed! He was willing to do whatever I wanted, but helped me see what needed to be done and how to do it. Recently, I went back to court to collect money owed. I self represented as well as one of the other party. Not sure how exactly it happened but it did, the opposing attorney was not cooperating in my opinion as the judge had directed us. Joe shows up and stepped in and got my order pushed through. Let me be clear the only reason I didn’t hire Joe for this case was because I wasn’t going to pay any attorney $4k to try to collect 8k that even if I won there was no guarantee I would ever see the money. However Joe cares about you and showed that. I was able to win and get compensated. This was mainly due to Joe stepping in on his time and helping out. Joe thank you will never be enough!
