3 /5 eve Young: The wait is long , they are short staffed, and they are unequipped to handle severe and cancer patients. They ignore family members and they rarely give proper medical attention to patients. They nearly dosed my husband with insulin and he isnt even a diabetic, much less an insulin dependent one at that.

1 /5 Jordan Gonzalez: Empty lobby but the staff was still slow, inefficient, and rude. Kicked me out because I wanted to sign the paperwork do discharge my child who was supposed to be discharged already 15 minutes ago. But their inefficiency made 15 minutes turn into 45 minutes. Got the mom waiting for them to finish sitting around doing nothing now.

1 /5 B S. T: I went to this emergency room at this hospital because I was having an allergic reaction and went into Anaphylactic shock. I was given steroids and benadryl, mind you I had a swollen face and throat, which wasn’t going down. The nurse that attended to me was very nice and was keeping a close eye on my condition. She noticed I broke out in more hives and said mention this to the Dr when she steps in, and I did just that. The Dr. said “Oh, I don’t think those hives are associated with this” and my response was what do you mean I’m getting more hives as we speak and she brushed it off and continued to say that those new hives that were appearing on my skin had nothing to do with my current condition and stepped out. Nurse came in and asked what did the Dr say I told her what the Dr told me. She observed the new hives that appeared on my arms and agreed that my condition was worsening so she stepped out to speak with the Dr and then came back in with an EpiPen. Dr discharged me about an hour or so later and that was that. I was not in any better condition my face was still swollen , lips as well and throat felt tight. Had to go to Kingsville the following day because I was still having those horrible symptoms, which they also are no good but I’ll save that for their own review. Lesson learned Alice hospital is in serious need of Drs who care about patients and don’t brush them off. Alice and Kingsville are a bunch of BS. Also, to check in you have to write your name on a paper then leave it in a basket and wait until someone on the other side of the window is there to grab the paper to check you in. Emergency or not this is ridiculous! I suggest making the drive to Corpus Christi! They attended to me quick and ran test and were very understanding and concerned about my situation! Alice do better!

5 /5 Brittany Bradley: 5 stars for the nurse named Lisa , if there is more than one Lisa its the , She is the Lisa that has blonde/ light brown hair and a pretty smile. She was very thorough in explaining to my grandmother what was needed and her bedside manner was awesome. Shout out to Dr Kamat for his thorough and safely done procedure. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way , was the lady who was transporting my grandmother to do the procedure, she told me grandmother what the doctor was going to administer into her IV, two of which she is allergic too and had a bad reaction to last time , Hispanic woman with tattoos, specifically one on her wrist , and my grandmother reminded her she was allergic, and this lady rudely replied " why arent you wearing your allergy bracelet" first off one was never given to her or ordered for her but she had the information from her primary in her wallet. So the mouthy lady checked my grandmothers chart again and she looked at the lady she was training and they both stayed quiet. I assume bc we were In the room. I didnt catch this ladies name , she needs to be retrained , learn better manners , and not speak or tell someone they are receiving medications THATS ALREADY LISTED on the chart as an allergy, right before a procedure. Other than her ignorance, I want to thank Nurse Lisa and Dr. Kamat for taking care of my grandmother.
