1 /5 Private Persona: This is the finance company for Academy Sports and Outdoors Credit Card. I had an extenuating circumstance and was not able to pay my bill nor call in to pay my bill. They would only wave HALF of the late fee. Do not do business with them. I am filing a BBB complaint. The representative was VERY rude and spoke down to me. Unacceptable conduct. I am also filing a complaint with Academy. True Texans do not do this to other Texans. UPDATE: After calling Academy Corporates office of the CEO this was rectified and the charges were reversed.

1 /5 Craig Eckwood: Horrible customer service!!! I think it would’ve been more productive to talk to a brick wall than it was to talk to customer “service” for Dell Pay (Bread Financial). Why would it take almost 4 months to process a return? Why is it coming close to a year, but I have yet to have my credit report corrected? I’ve used Dell Pay for years without any problems. As soon as Dell outsources its financing to Bread Financial, I’ve had nothing but problems!!!

1 /5 Bob C: Problems with Bread Savings begin with its website, which is unintuitive and frustrating. Everything I tried to do online failed, so I resorted to their online chat support. But anything you want to accomplish through chat will require undue patience. Personnel who staff that function are basically there to put you off, so that you must return and prod repeatedly to get any answers. On the other hand, the telephone support personnel are professional, courteous, and efficient IF youre lucky enough to get through after multiple tries. And when I waited for weeks after submitting an application to open a savings account, without a response, my patience wore thin. So, I closed my CD account, and took my business to an online bank that makes it EASY to accomplish whatever banking task I need to perform. Unless youre a masochist, avoid Bread Financial!

3 /5 eric wright: Update - 12/31/24 - i am moving this from 1 star to 3 stars - The issue got resolved. It was a lengthy and painful process but they ultimately did the right thing - If you have a rough transaction, be prepared to jump through hoops, but it seems they will do the right thing. ordered an item from BBQgrills.com - we are in week 16 and I still have not received the item. I am financing this through Bread Financial and have made 4 payments so far. I opened a case with them 3 weeks ago and they told me it could take up to 90 days to resolve with the vendor. I have canceled the order with the vendor and shared 20+ days of emails showing BBQgrills is not being responsive. Bread says that this will take another 80+ days to resolve, and at that point i would have been paying on an item i do not have for over 6 months. This is ridiculous. I think they are scammers that are involved with the vendor in stealing peoples money. - UPDATE - Bread responded in a comment - below in a cut and paste response - I am leaving this review to let people know that you are in fact not willing to help, I have called you guys multiple times with no resolution except to wait for another 80 days. You do not care about helping, just in taking peoples money.
