1 /5 Collins: My son 19 years old called to get a quote for a full coverage insurance on a 2024 Honda Civic. The representative that talked to him told him it would be 22,000 for a 6-month premium. We obviously thought there was a mistake. I his father got on the phone to make sure there was no mistake and to confirm the information that was being relayed is correct. When I asked them to please email me the quote so I can look it over they told me (this sounds like insurance fraud) I told them you are the insurance company why would you tell me such a thing I do believe 22,000 a month for a $25,000 vehicle is not realistic so why the discrimination against a 19-year-old young adult. I asked for their license number their insurance license number she refused to tell me I was hung up on and when I called back I was disrespected and told that they did not want to carry the insurance on my son. Im fine with an insurance company telling me they cannot insure my son and the only thing he had against him was an accident that was his fault but its 16 years old almost 3 years ago and thats the only thing on his record. They asked for his credit check they asked his age they asked his race they asked everything from as far as I know they are not allowed to ask. This was straight discrimination in my belief and when I called and asked them for a printout and an email sent to me they told me no and hung up on me. I always thought amika was a stand-up company I put them in line with USAA and the other top insurance companies however theyre beneath the spit underneath my feet so I hope people learn from the situation and do not get treated the way we were. I will be filing with the local authorities and the Texas board of insurance this is just a beware notice I wanted to put on there website so no one else falls into their trap. 22,000 a month for a car worth $25,000 that does not make sense in any language or any country or any reality but a 19-year-old may have fell for that like they wanted him to disgusting disgraceful unethical in every way stay away from this company. If you look at the responses from the management to the Peoples reviews theyre all generic they dont care theyll never care they make a lot of money and youre the reason they make a lot of money our lives mean nothing to them only when it affects them they are horrible people and everybody knows it. You know its the CEOs fault they love taking advantage of everybody. Update the response they gave was complete BS never once did they want to resolve the problem and its been over 4 months. My son does have insurance and pays 3600 a year now, what a difference and its not Geico or progressive. Its a real insurance company that is extremely popular with a great reputation.

1 /5 Mark-Jeroen Smaak: received yesterday a new policy for the coming year. 30%!!! increase. from 5700 to 8100, just like that. I already have 15k deductible. Out of this world! I definitely will look for another insurance company.

1 /5 Roy Bayliss: This company I think has an insurance scam. What they do is they send you a letter or a notification electronically that you dont have coverage for something. This coverage cost more money. And they tell you they dont hear from you theyre going to automatically add it to your policy. Is that a scam or what? Its like going to McDonalds and ordering a Big Mac and in your bag you have three Big Macs and they charge you for three Big Macs and when you ask why are you charging me for three Big Macs when I only ordered one well you didnt tell us that you didnt want that so we added it on to your account. Incredible

4 /5 Bryan Autrey: Ive been using amica for several years. Recently the neighbors tree fell on our cars and totalled one car and the.other had to be fixed. Overall they were pretty good. I bought a new truck added it, then a 3rd vehicle we dont drive was reducing to liability. Told him to change it. Called back after saw bill go up and not down 12 days later found out was never done. I told them to change again. Called back 14th after the man making change Patrick never called me back. Still not done. I asked him to chk vm when made the 1st change. They said I said to not change. On 14th said change it again, was never done. I asked for Mgr, they said none avail. After I got upset this guy got a mgr.. 3 times I called and still not changed. Ridiculous. Mgr got on phone said would date back 2 days as a courtesy. No courtesy, I told him to change it on the 12th and still wasnt done. Took 3 times calling for them to change to liablity for one vehicle. I asked to hear the recording of the Of the call they refused to let me hear it.. Here about 6 months after the car was repaired the door handle popped off twice. The first time Eagle fixed but the second time we were kind of giving the run around. I noticed everytime the handle popped off a screw was gone inside the door. I called Amica because of lifetime warranty.. John jumped on it real quick and Eagle fixed the issue. Then Amica said they could order the part to fix so this will stop happening. I was super happy with there lifetime warranty. When it comes to claims with Amica, I have to give them a ***** five star because they really do a good job. There claims dept. is the best I have ever seen. So Im changing my review.
