1 /5 Bert J Van der Werff: These people are terrible and their primary concern is getting the criminal off on a cushy plea deal. The crimes were caught on security cameras, and one in the Court parking lot! So there was no question as to guilt or evidence. Its all about who knows who. This office failed to refile for temporary orders of protection that left me vulnerable over the course of a year and a half due to pure negligence. The criminal, Jeffrey Blaha of Montour Falls NY escaped 2 or 3 felony charges and instead recieved a misdemeanor and probation....AFTER escaping felony charges just years prior. Meanwhile the victim of the crime is left holding the bag on nearly $8,000 or more in total damages and not one thing was done to have justice served or to make me whole again. AND he somehow escaped having his name publicly announced for the arrest or any subsequent news stories on the shocking incident. The Sheriffs office had posted arrests on a monthly basis but they mysteriously stopped posting them the month he was arrested. Its all about who you know in that garbage county. They are all corrupt beyond belief.
