Mark Hines Whiting Insurance is a blessing that we never fully realized until the day of our house fire. We knew that Bruce and the team were thorough and professional for the eight years that we went without a claim, but when tragedy struck us in the middle of the night, we saw the depth of knowledge and attention to detail that came from Whiting Insurance. While our house was on fire, I turned to my wife and said, “Call Bruce; that’s what he told us to do.” After the fire was out, we received a call from Bruce that was filled with compassion and a career’s worth of knowledge. He walked us through each step of the process, coaching us, educating us, and encouraging us. We would get a call every few days from Bruce checking in on us to see where we were in the process. I remembered one occasion where Bruce answered the phone while on vacation and talked with us for a few minutes before he told us he was on vacation. That showed us the dedication he has to helping get people back on their feet. Any time we had questions about our policy, Bruce would comb through the fine print of the policy to ensure we were set up for success. Thanks to the diligent work of Whiting Insurance, we were able to get a brand new home built in the same place where our house burned down in LESS THAN A YEAR! We can’t thank Whiting Insurance enough for their help in restoring our family’s home. It’s hard to even imagine the difficulties we would be navigating without their guidance. From our family to the Whiting Insurance family, THANK YOU! We are forever grateful, and just know that you will forever be a part of our story!

Andy Gesner The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company is a complete joke. I tried to provide NXG Insurance with my business, but it became clear to me quite quickly that though he had been referred to me, Chris DiTommaso was going to be unable to assist me personally. Instead, he sloughed me off to his co-employee Tanner Davis, and after many days of being ignored by both of them, despite me calling and emailing, I sent an email expressing my concerns. Tanner did call me shortly thereafter to tell me he did not appreciate me "being rude", claiming that it usually takes "a week or two" to receive a Workers Compensation quote (WOW! What a whopper of a lie, I was able to purchase my policy with Geico in less than a hour!). Obviously Chris did not share with Tanner that there was a palpable sense of urgency to have this policy taken care of in a timely fashion. Tanner did promise to get back to me by "the end of the day." The date of that call was Monday, March 17th, 2025. That was over a week and a half ago. I have still not heard back from him and I doubt I will. Obviously "Customer Service" was not something they were trained to provide.

My experience has been consistently positive from the very beginning, In particular Dan Schmidt’s group has been with me through the collapse of my front porch awning, a winter storm tearing away the gutter, a fender bender (not my fault) and a chipped windshield which they handle with empathy and swiftness. Dan’s agents are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful (especially Cassandra). Their rates are competitive, and I have never even thought about going anywhere else. If you’re looking for an insurer that combines excellent customer service, a great mobile app, and dependable coverage, State Farm is it! “Like a good neighbor”
