5 /5 Samara Evans: I give Onemain Financial 5 stars (10 if thats possible) The loan representative Yamith is THE best. She helped me on 2 loans. She is very professional, and friendly. She followed up and walked me through the process each time and is very thorough with explaining everything. I will continue doing business as long as people like Yamith is there. ❤️

1 /5 Jingy Zhang: Horrible place to work with. They preapprove you for a loan, puts a ding (inquiry) on your credit report, and then you go through the whole process and then they say you are denied. What an utterly waste of time. Why tell someone you are approved (not even "pre-approved" - I am talking about actually APPROVED) and then deny them later? This is the only lending company (of ANY kind that Ive worked with that does this). Makes absolutely zero sense. Additionally, they give you appointment times to book an agent for them to call you and complete the application and verification process, but not only do you they fail to call you at the scheduled time, when you call the branch and ask to speak to someone else - since that original agent failed to call back or honor the original appointment time - you get a hard "NO". Dont even bother with this company. I would recommend using others, such as Upstart, Lending Club, Upgrade, Best Egg, Rocket Loans, Prosper, SoFi, etc. Much easier to work with and they are MUCH MORE responsive than this One Main Financial branch.

1 /5 Sha Cla: This company would not allow a removal off my credit report and I was denied. I sent a letter asking for them to remove the inquiry and they stated my reporting was valid and they would not remove it lmao. Okay but what’s the point if I took the time, clearly I’m asking because in such a time our economy is in the inquiring disappearing would be helpful but they choose to say no for no real reason. I never did business with them and this was almost a decade ago lol through springlesf who they acquired. Terrible humans

3 /5 Mr. NASKAVETS: Applied. Got text message saying to call - called nobody picked up , left messages nobody called back. Ron from Staten Island just hang up on us and did not pick up the phone when we called back. Ethics and professionalism is absent in this company.

1 /5 Sal B: Horrible customer service. I was pre-approved for a personal loan. Made an appointment for a specific date and time, received no call. The next day, a person by the name of Roman called to conduct the phone interview. His tone and approach was rushed and abrasive. I uploaded a scanned version of my passport as proof of identity he claimed it was unacceptable due to company policy that required a picture of my photo id, not sure what modern company required a picture of an ID versus a scanned version of an ID. Weird. As I said his tone and overall approach on the phone didn’t make me comfortable with obtaining a personal loan from this company. I’ll move forward with a product from a bigger financial institution with proper software and practices in place to verify identification as well as a high regard for customer service. One main financial is most likely to be bought out soon with all loans transferred to a much more capable conglomerate. At the end of the conversation I asked to speak with someone else because he kept cutting me off when I was trying to understand the photo of a photo ID logic. He claimed to be the manager. Good luck to this place if Roman is the manager. Glad I’m not obtaining a personal loan from this at all.
